Europa Nights...

Hearts were hopeful of securing a safe passage through to the final qualifying round of the Europa League when Paksi FC visited Tynecastle. The first leg had ended 1-1 with Hearts clinching an all important away goal.

Hearts opened the scoring on 34 minutes through Ryan Stevenson, before the big front man added a second on the stroke of half time. Andy Driver made it 3-0 on the night after 50 minutes before Rudi Skacel added a fourth from a simple tap in with 76 minutes gone.

Frustratingly, Hearts’ clean sheet was left as soiled as Travel Lodge bed linen when the Paksi player Bode scored with an impressive diving header from a free kick.

With Hearts winning 5-2 on aggregate they emphatically secured their place in the next round where they could faced possibly the toughest test they could have asked for in Tottenham Hotspur.
